Applicants must be South African citizens (not just permanent residents).
Applicants must be under 40 years of age (as of April 1, 2008)
Applicants must at least hold a Bachelor’s Degree (in any discipline) by July 2008.
Applicants must have a good command of the English language.
No knowledge of Japanese is necessary, but applicants should be interested in Japan and be willing to deepen their knowledge and appreciation of that interest after arrival.
Applicants should be physically and mentally healthy.
